Huacaya from Graham & Pott

The Huacaya fragrance from the British manufactory Graham & Pott is dedicated to the smell of the wool of the small round-bottomed alpaca Huacaya, which lives on the Altiplano plateau in the heart of the Andes.
Huacayas breathe rarefied air, rarely see rain and, as Encyclopedia Britannica writes, in two years they grow only 30 centimeters of very valuable, unusually fine curly hair.
I have never seen alpacas in the wild, but I love the cozy animal warmth of wool and its ability to accumulate and refract odors from the outside. One way to recognize and “tame” perfume is to apply it to a scarf, for example.

Huacaya perfumery smells like a stranger's scarf. The fog of the autumn forest, the frost on the red rowan tree, the smell of rotten leaves, stubble on the neck and warm milk clung to the gray fluffy canvas. Alarmed, at first alien, then a surprisingly familiar and attractive smell. A story of love from the first breath.
The leading theme in Huacaya is oud with its bestial, dirty spirit, gradually losing its animal essence. His wildness is warmed with tenderness, and he thaws gratefully, merging with musky bodily warmth.

Huacaya comes in a “perfume” concentration, which means you need to wait for the aroma to reveal itself on the skin. The complex melody of cashmeran, oud, soapy pink berries, vanilla and spices is also difficult to comprehend in my head. Give her time.
